"Paper Bag Making" training programme launched

Kakching, April 19 2025: A three-day training programme on "Paper Bag Making" organised by Eco-Network Manipur in collaboration with Ema Paper Bag was kicked off today in the midst of the drive launched by State authorities to reduce the use of Single use Plastics (SUP) .

According to a press release issued by Shinthangamba Laishram, president, EcoNetwork Manipur, the training programme was held at the residence of Hijam Dinesh, secretary, Heirok Development Club located at Heirok Part III .

22 members of two Self-Help Groups based in Heirok took part in the training programme.

As polythene bags are included in the ban, the training programme was conducted to produce an eco-friendly replacement for the daily use item.
