Imphal, August 13 2024: In the lead-up to India's 78th Independence Day, 143 Bn CRPF launched an initiative to promote national unity and pride among the residents of Lamphelpat.

In a release, CRPF 143 Bn commandant Ravinder Sharma conveyed that as part of this effort, the Unit distributed 100 National flags to locals on Monday, encouraging them to hoist the same in their homes from August 13 to 15 .

On Tuesday, the battalion organised walkathon in the area of Laishram Leirak, Khulem Leikai, Samusang and Yaipha Leikai from Unit's Lamphelpat headquarters and again distributed 450 flags to the Community and school students to foster sense of patriotism and national harmony, it added.
