AR observes Nurses' Day, Mother's Day

On the occasion of International Nurses' Day, Assam Rifles honoured the nurses whose selfless and unwavering commitment has significantly impacted the society since long.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that in a heartfelt tribute to these extraordinary individuals, AR extended deepest gratitude for their embodiment of compassion and resilience, recognising their outstanding achievements.
To commemorate the International Nurses' Day, a special interaction was carried out followed by cake cutting ceremony symbolising appreciation for the invaluable contributions of nurses across the globe.
Meanwhile, AR celebrated International Mother's Day in Thoubal district and Sajik, Joupi and Khangtung villages in Chandel district, the PRO said, adding that a celebration to honour the resilience and determination of mothers was organised by AR at Phundrei village in Thoubal district, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) .
In all, 63 mothers along with around 70 children of Phundrei village attended the event.
The release continued that the nobility and struggle of motherhood was discussed in an informative lecture conducted as part of the function, followed by various fun games and competitions with active participation of all the mothers present.
Winners of the games were also felicitated suitably.
AR also celebrated Mother's Day at Sajik Tampak with 68 mothers of Kana area,.Sajik valley whereas at Khangtung village, near Indo-Myanmar Border, Chandel district, AR Company Operating Base, Changpol conducted a lecture on 'Women Empowerment' on the occasion.
According to the PRO, 50 women along with youths attended the event marked by thorough deliberation on importance and role of mothers in the society.
