National seminar on NEP begins

Imphal, March 11 2025: Manipur University, Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension, organised two-day national seminar on 'Learning beyond alphabet: Challenges and Prospects in NEP 2020' at the varsity's court hall on Tuesday.

The inaugural programme of the seminar was attended by MU vice chancellor Prof N Lokendra, School of Education dean Maisnam Premlata, Department of Education, Guwahati University prof Dulumoni Goswami and Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension head Lamalu Thaimei.

Delivering the key note address, Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension assistant professor Thingbaijam Sharmila appealed to all to work for making everyone literate.

She further said that National Education Policy, 2020 priorities adult education, skill development and lifelong learning to attain the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 .

Informing that the seminar is sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and North Eastern Regional Centre, Shillong, Sharmila said that around 100 participants will present their papers in the seminar.
