Hundreds of people benefited from the week-long Free Skin Health Camp organised by BABINA Hospital as part of its first foundation day observance.
According to a press release issued by the hospital, the camp was conducted on August 1 to 9 skipping August 3 and 4, under the leadership of BABINA Hospital senior consultant dermatologist Dr Karam Lokendro.
Each session began at 2:30 pm and continued until all pre-booked patients were examined, with the number of participants limited to 50 per day to ensure personalised care.
Patients received free consultations, a 50 per cent discount on required laboratory investigations and a 20 per cent discount on applicable procedures, valid for one-time use.
Follow-up benefits were also extended to registered participants.
As part of its outreach programme, the hospital provided free consultations and related benefits to internally displaced persons from Moreh and Churachandpur staying at the Alternate Housing Complex relief camp in Langol Game Village.
They were transported to the hospital for treatment, it added.
Over the seven days, the camp attended to 270 patients, performed five procedures, conducted 18 laboratory tests and booked 27 procedures for follow-up treatment, the release stated.
Quoting Dr Lokendro, the statement said that the experience was "deeply rewarding" and underscored the importance of preventive skin health and timely medical intervention.
