Kakching, July 09 2025: District Health Society (DHS), Kakching and District Surveillance Unit (DSU), Kakching jointly observed World Zoonosis Day 2025 at Wabagai Thambal Chingya community hall on Wednesday.

The observance held under the theme 'One Health, One Future: Preventing Zoonotic Outbreaks Together' was attended by DHS mission director/chief medical officer Dr Thaodem Rajen as chief guest and Southern Tentha Youth Development Organisation advisor Maibam Kishwor as president, while District Veterinary Hospital, Kakching veterinary officer Dr Shougaijam Brojendro, district immunisation officer/ district family welfare officer Dr Kshetrimayum Sumati and district surveillance officer Dr Khangembam Gopeshwar were the guests of honour.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr Gopeshwar spoke on the diseases transmitted between animals and humans and their preventive measures.
