National Science Day observed

The knowledge learnt during the school days will set the tone On how one can contribute to community, society and national level innovation as a capable citizen, said Science and Technology secretary Kengoo Zuringla.
The Department of Science and Technology observed National Science Day and conducted a quiz competition at Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat on Wednesday.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, Kengoo Zuringla stressed that challenges faced at the time of pursuing studies should serve as a vital lesson to tackle problems one encounters in life.
She urged for encouraging students, teachers and principals to participate in competitions, as this will become a gateway for the future.
The observance was also attended by Science and Technology director Homila Hongrei and joint secretary Chingakham Sachi as presidium members.
Later, prizes of the quiz competition were distributed by the dignitaries.
JNV Khumbong students Laishram Tereaza and Laishram Yaichenba won the first prize, while Leisemba Maheikol students Chitrarekha and M Bidananda bagged the second prize and Ruda Academy Thoubal students Arbin Waikhom and Hanjamayum Julia Devi secured the third prize.
