Thoubal, February 09 2025: The 45th foundation day of Waikhom Mani Girls' College (WMG College), Thoubal Okram was held at the College's seminar hall on Sunday with Thoubal SP Dr Sarangthem Ibomcha as chief guest and College principal professor Hanjabam Manoranjan Sharma as president, while Manipur University College Development Council director professor Hanjabam Sukhdeba Sharma and WMG College General Body ex-president Waikhom Ranjit were the guests of honour.

Before the formal function, the dignitaries led the teachers, non-teaching staff and students in paying floral tributes to the statue of College's founder and photos of other founder members.

As part of the programme, College's faculty members who had published research papers in various reputed research journals and meritorious students of the college were presented with gold medals and cash awards, certificates and stoles.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Ibomcha recalled his days as a teacher at the same college and wished the teachers, staff and students a bright future.
