Thangjingamba a deserter: PREPAK

Imphal, August 04 2025: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) clarified that the organisation and its armed wing Red Army are unrelated with Lisham Sanayaima alias Thangjingamba alias Thoujal of Uyumpok Maning Leikai, who was arrested by Manipur police on August 1 from his house.

According to a PREPAK statement issued by publicity officer Mangai Khuman, Thangjingamba held the rank of sergeant in Red Army earlier but deserted the party on February 21, 2016."Since then, the party has no communication or activities with Thangjingamba," the party contended, adding that the same has been proven with the recovery of five letter heads of another organisation by police from Thangjingamba possession at the time of his arrest.

The statement then strongly refuted the police claim linking Thangjingamba to the organisation.
