Eviction drive: Joint survey on August 6

Imphal, July 31 2025: Imphal West deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh has informed all concerned, particularly land owners/residents/shopkeepers/tenants of Thangal and Paona Bazar that survey to assess encroachment including aerial expansions and projections over government land/drains/footpath/public land will be conducted from 7 am of August 6 by officials of district administration, MAHUD, Imphal Municipal Corporation, chief town planner and line departments concerned.

In a public notice issued Thursday, Rajkumar notified that the joint survey is being taken up as a continuing step and in pursuance of meeting held on Wednesday at Dharamsala, Thangal Bazar in connection with the MAHUD order dated July 25 for removal of encroachment by district administration.

All concerned have been urged to co-operate in the said drive.
