KCP (MFL) cadre arrested, pistol recovered

Thoubal, April 30 2025: A combined team of Thoubal police commando, 4 Assam Rifles and 10 Bn BSF apprehended a KCP (MFL) cadre identified as Naorem Punshiba Meitei alias Baby (20), son of (late) N Premjijt Meitei of Wangoo Lamkhai, from Heirok Part-III Kabo Leikai.

According to police report, an operation was launched based on inputs about presence of some KCP (MFL) cadres taking shelter in the house of one Abujam Tomba Singh of Heirok Part-III Kabo Leikai for prejudicial activities like extortion, kidnapping, etc.

During the operation, the joint team rushed to the house of A Tomba and managed to round up the MFL cadre, from whom a .32 pistol marked 'Made in India' along with a magazine and three rounds were recovered.

The arrested person along with the seized items have been handed over to Heirok police station for legal action.
