Imphal, September 28 2024: DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary visited Manipur to carry out comprehensive review of the operational scenario and also take stock of the operational preparedness of the force in the wake of recent escalation of violence in the state.

DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary was received by ADG BSF (Eastern Command) Ravi Gandhi and IG M & C Frontier Sanjay Kumar Misra at Imphal Airport at about 11.30am.Later, he visited Moreh to review the operational preparedness of the force and also interacted with commanders and troops deployed in the border town.

He appreciated the role of BSF personnel in maintaining peace in the border town.

During the visit, the DG BSF also visited ICP Moreh.

Further, the DG BSF visited SHQ BSF CI (Ops) Manipur and had an interaction with the officers and troops through a Sainik Sammelan and had tea with Jawans.

He appreciated their relentless efforts and contribution in gearing up the security mechanism in the state and motivated them to carry out their duties relentlessly and with utmost professionalism.

The DG BSF also discussed the prevailing security scenario with the DGP and chief secretary of Manipur and senior officers of other sister agencies, a statement issued by PRO Frontier HQ BSF M & C said.
