Imphal, October 27 2024: The prize distribution programme for the 10th Lamyanba Hijam Irabot Memorial Essay Writing Competition 2024 organised by Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) was held at the student body's Kwakeithel office here on Sunday with Board of Secondary Education, Manipur chairman Akham Joykumar and AIMS president Oinam Nikarson as chief guest and president respectively, while AIMS chief advisor Puyam Joy, Iramdam Kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL) general secretary Wahengbam Luwangleima and COCOMI coordinator Somorendro Thokchom were the guests of honour.

The dignitaries handed over certificates, memento and cash awards to position winners of the competition.

The competition held at COMET School on October 13 in different categories on the topic "Challenges faced by student community and roles & responsibilities of students for future" was participated by around 300 students from different schools.

Impact of the current crisis on students and their academic career were highlighted by different persons who spoke on the occasion.

They also decried alleged divide and rule policy, and indifferent attitude of the Central government towards northeast in general and Manipur in particular.
