District police observe anti-drug, trafficking day

Senapati district police observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Thursday with rallies and awareness programmes on drug abuse and illicit trafficking at various places across the district.
A rally participated by police and VDF personnel started from Senapati police station and marched till the old toll gate.
Banner and placards displaying anti-drug messages like 'Drugs Kills Your Future', 'Say No to Drug, Yes to Life', 'Drug Ends All Dreams', 'The More You Use Drug, The Less You Live', etc., were held by the police during the rally.
Similar rallies and awareness programmes were also held in areas under the jurisdictions Maram, Tadubi and Mao police stations and at Tungjoy villages.
"On this International Day against Drug abuse and Illicit Trafficking, district police urge individuals, communities and organisations to join hands in the fight against drug abuse" .
"Together, we can create a society that is free from the scourge of drugs and support those struggling with addiction," Senapati SP Dhamendra Kumar said on the occasion.
