Winners of state level poster competition announced

Imphal, June 23 2025:
The result of the State Level Poster Making Competition organised by the Directorate of Social Welfare in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, at the Manipur State Bal Bhavan, Khuman Lampak, held on Monday has been announced.
The initiative was aimed at encouraging young minds to creatively express their thoughts and spread awareness on the harmful effects of drug use.
The competition was conducted for students of Class VIII to X and Class XI and above.
In the first category, Angela Heikrujam of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Lamphelpat secured the first position and Brikrama Lourembam of Comprehensive School, Oinam second, with the third bagged by Angomjambam Tilakaraj Meitei of Jawahar Nabodaya Vidyalaya, Khum-bong.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Pamela Arambam of Lamlong Higher Secondary School, Sunaina Saikhom of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 and Seram Jairaj Meitei of Nongpok Maheikol School.
In the Class XI and above competition, Manipur University of Culture sixth semester student Venish Keisham, Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 class XII passed student Dau-las Lambamayum and Manipur University of Culture BVA fourth semester student So-raijam Ajit Singh bagged the first, second and third prize respectively.
Consolation prizes in this category went to Birkumar Hijam of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (IKSV), Khairagarh; Akoijam Prasanta Meitei of Imphal Art College; and Newton Hijam of Eden Public School.
The prize distribution ceremony will take place during the state-level observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26 at the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound.
