Kakching, February 23 2025:
Students' Union of Kha-Manipur College (KMC), Kakching locked office of the principal and administrative block condemning frequent change of the principal, derailing the development of the college.
Interacting with media persons, Union general secretary Yengkhom Nelson stated that the college having 2000 students is yet to see any significant development mainly due to transfer of principal.
Out-rightly opposing the order issued Friday for a new principal, he demanded that the incumbent principal should continue to remain in-charge and declared that the administrative block will remain under lock and seal till their demands are met.
On getting the report of the protest, a police team led by Kakching additional SP (L&O) Athokpam Romendro arrived and spoke with the representatives of the students' union.
As the additional SP failed to pacify the protesting students, he left asking the students to continue further talk at the SP's office.
