Erratic power supply upsets PNC

Paomata Naga Council (PNC) expressed deep concern on persistent electricity problem faced by denizens under Paomata Block.
In a release signed by its general secretary Paode Sh, PNC lamented that numerous villages under the Paomata Block have been without power supply for many days including some bereft of electricity for more than two weeks.
With the arrival of transplantation season in the region, farmers ary concerned about the lack of electricity after a long day of work.
After the power outage, there is no way to charge a cell phone other than sending someone to have it charged in Senapati.
There have been frequent power outages and breakdown of electricity, causing significant inconveniences to the residents, it added.
The council then urged the department, especially Sajouba Power Station and the officer in-charge, to look in the matter immediately.
