AR conducts security meet, motivational lecture

Imphal, November 17 2024: Assam Rifles on Saturday organised a security coordination meeting at Lailophai village near the Sugnu Iron Bridge in Churachandpur district to promote peace and harmony.

According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the security meeting was attended by representatives of Assam Rifles, Manipur police, BSF and ITBP, Kakching DC, etc.

During the meeting emphasis was given on enhanced vigilance, joint patrolling, harvesting protection and proactive measures to address any emerging situation.

The meeting concluded with a joint resolution to intensify efforts towards a secure and harmonious environment in fringe areas bordering Kakching, Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts.

On the other hand, Assam Rifles organised a motivation lecture on armed forces for youth at Kendriya Vidya-laya, Kasomtang in Ukhrul district on Saturday.

The lecture raised awareness of the diverse opportunities within the military, fostering patriotism and a sense of duty and offered guidance on eligibility, preparation, and the benefits of a defence career, encouraging young people to take on challenges and contribute to national security, unity, and development through a life of courage and commitment, the release added.
