Indigenous cultural exchange fest a huge success: IPFM

Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur (IPFM) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants and the people on the success of the Manipur Indigenous Cultural Exchange Festival-2024 held at Chadong village in Kamjong district on December 13 and 14 .
According to a statement of IPFM, the festival held on the theme 'Manipur: United by Diversity' became a remarkable platform for showcasing cultural pride, unity and harmony among different indigenous peoples of the state.
The forum expressed gratitude to the Government of Manipur and state tourism department for their unwavering support in making the festival a grand success.
The event witnessed participation from indigenous communities across the hills and valley featuring captivating performances by dance troupes, folk singers and renowned artistes, meet the stars and musical concerts.
Chiefs and chairmen of Chadong areas, pastors of surrounding Churches, youth representatives and community organisations made huge contribution for the festival's success.
A key highlight of the festival was the release of the commemorative souvenir 'The Manipur Indigenous People's Cultural Exchange Festival 2024' celebrating the state's rich cultural heritage and unity, the statement noted, adding that the festival will stand as a monumental event, fostering peace, harmony and the preservation of indigenous cultures in Manipur.
It served as a beacon of inclusivity, uniting diverse communities under the shared values of diversity and unity, the IPFM statement said and appreciated the enthusiasm and contributions of every individual, organisation, and participant involved.
