AR observes Har Ghar Tiranga across state

Imphal, August 13 2024: Assam Rifles organised a series of events as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of the 78th Independence Day across the state on Tuesday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), in Tengnoupal district, Assam Rifles joined hands with the locals to promote the campaign at Sita, Khudenthabi and Kwatha villages, educate students about the significance and importance of Independence Day, and remind them of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.

The troopers also organised a Tiranga Bike Rally at Keithal-manbi Garrison while at Lilong village in Thoubal district, Assam Rifles distributed National Flags to the villagers and then marched hand in hand with the locals holding the National Flag.

A Run for Unity was organised by Assam Rifles along with the village authorities at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district during which a total of 52 enthusiastic youths actively participated in the run.

The youth were also emphasised about the need for physical fitness and how it can contribute positively towards Nation building, said the PRO.
