KUM rejoices over successful Gaan Ngai 2025 celebration

Imphal, January 13 2025: The State Level Kabui Gaan Ngai Committee has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all concerned for the successful celebration of the State Level Kabui Gaan Ngai 2025 at Chingphu Kabui village, on Sunday.

In a statement, Kabui Union Ma nipur (KUM) thanked Education minister Th Basantakumar Singh, who inaugurated the event as the chief guest, while also extending appreciation to Tourism director W Ibohal Singh, who attended as the special guest of honour, as well as several other civil society organisations and distinguished guests for their participation.

KUM also acknowledged the contributions of Chingphu Kabui village authority, youth wing, women's wing and the advocate of the Manipur High Court and Supreme Court of India for their services during the event.

As part of the celebration, the Kabui Union Manipur presented certificates of honour to the Chingphu Kabui Pei (village authority), Khangchu (Male and Female Dormitories of Chingphu) and Mathemei (Chingphu Kabui women), with the minister presenting the awards, the release added.

The statement further said that Dr K Heera Kabui, in his presidential speech, expressed deep gratitude to all those involved in the event, thanking everyone for their kindness and support.

He highlighted the positive impact of the gathering, which, he said, would contribute to the peace and prosperity of Yelhoumee (indigenes) .
