Power job seekers launch protest

Imphal, August 11 2024: Candidates who appeared in an examination conducted in 2019 for enrolment into the Manipur State Power Company Ltd (MSPCL) & Manipur State Power Distribution Company Ltd (MSPDCL), staged protest in front of Nupi Lal Memorial Complex on Sunday, urging authority concerned to declare the pending recruitment results.

Speaking on the sidelines, one of the protestors named Yumkhaibam Manoj cautioned that if the results are not declared or positive response on the same not forthcoming at the earliest, the candidates will launch indefinite hunger strike in front of the complex from Sunday onwards.

He also disclosed that the CM refused to give an appointment again on Sunday despite repeated requests over the years, while the officers declined to explain reason for the rejection.
