Thoubal, August 07 2025: Women's Income Generation Centre (WIGC) on Thursday celebrated its 31st foundation day, coinciding with the closing ceremony of a 120-day cultural workshop-cum-production held at its complex nearby Thoubal College.

The function jointly organised by WIGC Thoubal, Agasti Cultural Academy (ACA) Thoubal and ALRMT, Sagolband was structured into five sessions with inaugural function (first session) attended by Manipur Commission For Protection Of Child Rights chairperson Keisham Pradipkumar and WIGC founder and secretary Oinam Indira Devi as chief guest and president respectively, while Peace & Freedom Academy principal Jotin Salam, MANIPRO Branding Solution-branding consultant Jiban Khundrakpam and Agasti Cultural Academy president L Pramodini Devi were present as guests of honour.

On the occasion, Panthoibi Gym was also inaugurated within the WIGC complex along with organising an exhibition where kouna crafts, handicrafts and agricultural products were displayed.

Different awards were also distributed to residents of the Children Home run by WIGC and gifts, citations and mementos presented to various artistes.

The second, third, fourth and fifth sessions were attended by Health and Family Welfare joint secretary Bantee Singh Konthoujam, Federation of Artist and Creative Touch (FACT) president Dr A Subhadhani Devi, YVU Financial Services Private Limited managing director Bikendrajit Akoijam, Fancier Educational Society president Hodam Priyokumar, Tourism director Lourembam Bikram, DM University Department of Botany associate professor Dr Med -ha Kangabam, M/s Ashish Ayush and Company chartered accountant partner Ashish Jain, NS Associate project consultant S Nando, JN Manipur Dance Academy director Pukhrambam Bilash, Manipur University EMMRC director professor Dr Kananbala Sarangthem, UKAL secretary Mutum Maniton, TAL Thoubal president Rameshor Waikha, NIELIT, Imphal executive director Dr Yumnam Jay-enta, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Imphal deputy director Dr Sinam Yoirentomba, North East Institute of Science and Technology chief scientist CRS Dr Huidrom Birkumar and Horticulture and Soil Conservation retired director N Joymati Devi as presidium members.
