Quiz contest on environment on Jun 1

Imphal, May 07 2025: Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) announced that conduct of its 2nd State Level Environment Quiz Competition on June 1 .

In a release, DESAM health and environment secretary Huidrom Johnson Meitei informed that the competition will be organised on the theme 'Ending Plastic Pollution' for students of class VI to VIII (category A), and class IX to XII (category B) .

The entry form may be obtained on payment of Rs 100, said the secretary, while informing that students residing in relief camps will be exempted from paying the fee.

The top three winners of the competition will be rewarded Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively while Rs 1,000 each would be presented to 4th to 10th position holders along with a memento and certificate each.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held on June 5, which is observed as World Environment Day.

Application forms are available at the Kwakeithel office of DESAM and at offices of district councils.
