UPF organises free health camp at Thamnapokpi

Imphal, February 06 2025: United People's Front (UPF) in collaboration with the Youth Development Club, Thamnapokpi and Imphal East chief medical officer (CMQ), on Thursday organised a free health camp at Thamnapokpi, which falls in 'red zone' area.

Speaking to reporters at the camp conducted at Thamnapokpi Market shed, UPF president Nongthombam Rupachandra explained that the initiative was aimed at addressing some of the health challenges faced by the residents of Thamnapokpi since the crisis began on May 3, 2023.Rupachandra also expressed gratitude to the Imphal East CMO, local clubs and the meira paibi groups of Thamnapokpi for their support in making the health camp possible.

Imphal East medical officer Dr Maibam Johnson disclosed that the medicines for the camp were supplied by Imphal East CMO, adding that the camp focused on addressing the health needs of Thamnapokpi residents amid the ongoing crisis.

Around 100 people took advantage of the free health services offered at the camp.
