Maya Industries opens showroom to market local products

Imphal, August 04 2025: Maya Industries has opened a showroom for indigenous products at Naoremthong Laishram Leirak, aiming to promote local craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.

The facility was inaugurated Monday by assistant director grade-1 of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Manoj Sharma.

The showroom features a range of items including handloom and handicraft products, farm produce and cosmetics sourced from different districts.

Several artisans, farmers and designers took part in the launch event.

Speaking at the inauguration, Manoj Sharma commended Maya Industries for creating a platform to market local products and add value to traditional goods.

He noted that perfumes made from fruits, flowers and plants could find a place in the global market if promoted effectively.

He said that the MSME Ministry is providing assistance to entrepreneurs under various schemes, offering financial grants of up to 80 per cent and urged local entrepreneurs to visit the MSME office at Takyelpat to learn more about available programmes and access support to expand their ventures.
