Imphal, December 31 2024: Water Resources Department (WRD) has notified that the Lamphel-Shija Hospitals road shall remain closed to facilitate construction of cable-stayed bridge under the Lamphelpat Rejuvenation Project.

In a release, WRD chief engineer Remmei Alimmei informed that the diversion road through Thangmeiband-Tarung and Langol Game Village has been maintained to ensure undisturbed traffic.

"Every effort will be made to complete the project within the stipulated timeline and hand it over to the public," the chief engineer conveyed while urging all commuters to use alternate routes until the construction of cable-stayed bridge is completed.

The Department also expressed appreciation to the public for their cooperation and support towards ensuring the project's seamless execution.
