Search operation continues; PLA duo netted

Security forces continued to conduct search operation in different parts of the state on Thursday but no recovery of weapon was made.
According to a police source, a combined team of Kakching district police and BSF conducted search operation at Pallel Laimanai and Louyailambi under Pallel PS on Thursday from 5.30 am to 6.20 am during which around 30 residents of the two localities were verified.
There is no report of arrest or recovery of weapon made.
On the other hand, a combined team of Bishnupur district police and CRPF con ducted search operation at Moirang Okshongbung under Moirang PS from 6 am to 8 am.
Around 70 residents of the locality were verified but no recovery of weapon or arrest was made.
On the other-hand, Manipur police on Wednesday apprehended two cadres of the banned Revolutionary People's Front (RPF)/People's Liberation Army (PLA), from Thangal Bazar area.
According to a press release issued by Manipur Police Control Room, the arrested cadres have been identified as Kabrabam Inaobi Singh alias Johnson (47) and Yengkhom Bhogen Singh (50) .
Both of them are accused of carrying out extortion activities in Majorkhul area.
Police recovered four mobile phone handsets, two wallets, two Aadhaar cards, Rs 7930 in cash and a two-wheeler vehicle from their possession.
