Locals warn of stir over bad road

Imphal, April 29 2022: Local clubs and Meira Paibi associations of the areas along Sawombung to Sagolmang road have cautioned of launching intense agitations if the road stretch is not repaired by May 15 .

Addressing a press meet held at Emoinu Keithel in Keibi Khullen on Friday, Mayengbam Binod, who is the spokesperson of these clubs and meira paibi bodies, recounted that the issue regarding non-repairing of the road had been even brought up for discussion in the Assembly session multiple times.

Although the previous and present governments had assured of repairing the road, no action has been taken up till date.

Thus, he demanded the authority concerned to start repairing the road by May 15, failing which intense agitations would be launched.
