Imphal Smart City Ltd fetes Idea-thon winners

Imphal, January 28 2025: Imphal Smart City Limited (ISCL) organised a felicitation ceremony for the winners of its idea-thon competition on "Innovative and Sustainable Smart Solutions for a Cleaner Ima Keithel" at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, on Tuesday.

The competition was aimed at gathering innovative ideas from the public to maintain cleanliness at Khwairamband Ima Keithel, a historic marketplace and major tourist attraction of the state.

Speaking at the event, ISCL CEO Th Harikumar emphasised the importance of public involvement in finding smart solutions for the upkeep of the market.

The idea-thon was conducted in three stages.

A total of 24 entries were received in the first stage, of which 10 were shortlisted for the second stage to present their ideas.

In the third stage, two-minute video clips based on the shortlisted ideas were uploaded on social media for public voting.

TACDEF Solid Waste Management, located at Thangmeiband Thingel Leikai, won first place and was awarded a cash prize of Rs J lakh.

The winning idea will be incorporated into policies to ensure a cleaner Ima Keithel.

Nine consolation winners were each awarded Rs 10,000, while the idea receiving the most public votes received a special prize of Rs 5,000 .
