Meeting dissects drugs, anti-social activities

Thoubal, July 26 2024: A day-long public meeting on the topic "Anti-Drugs and Anti-Social Activities" was jointly organised by Ittihad-Ul-Ulama, Educational Guide Centre (EGC), Farmers' and Village Development Society (FVDS) and Meena Bazar Development Committee (MBDC) of Thoubal Moijing at the local community hall, on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Moijing GP chairperson Md Ayub Khan and Ittihad-Ul-Ula-ma Moulana Riyaz as chief guest and president respectively while UMPC president Moulana Muheiyuddin, who is also the coordinator of Anjuman Islah-e-Muashara, Anjuman Islah-e-Muashara secretary Habibullah and Moijing GP former pradhan Md Abdul Warish were present as guests of honour.

Among the resolutions adopted during the public meeting included - formation of All Moijing Coordinating Committee to prohibit sale and consumption of drugs in Moijing village; conduct special class on the theme "drug abuse, anti-social elements and their activities" for students; and adopt common resolution of the Meitei Pangal community.
