'Shumang Leela' workshop for JNV students organised

A four-day 'Shumang Leela' workshop under the Bagless Day programme of Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PMSHRI) organised by Cape of Good Hopes, New Delhi in collaboration with Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Umathel, Kakching at the Vidyalaya concluded on Tuesday.
As per a release by Cape of Good Hope, 'Shumang Leela' artiste Sagolsem Sana was resource person of the workshop.
The closing function of the workshop was attended by JNV, Umathel principal Ado-de Ganesh as chief guest and vice principal M Mandakini as president, while Sagolsem Sana and Cape of Good Hope business development manager Karam Ashinikanta were present as guests of honour.
According to the release, Adode Ganesh highlighted the importance of enabling the students to explore and exhibit their artistic talents while Sana encouraged the students to get acquainted with 'Shumang Leela' as an art form that reflect the society.
Karam Ashinikanta stated that the PMSHRI's 'Bagless Day' programme is an opportunity for students to learn the skills and knowledge beyond academics.
The programme ended with a 'Shumang Leela' short play staged by the students.
