'Lanna Thouram' of Heikrujam Ibotombi held

Imphal, November 25 2024: 'Lanna Thouram' of Heikrujam Ibotombi and his wife Bidhumukhi were held at their Kwakeithel Haobam Marak Irom Leikai residence on Monday.

Ibotombi passed away on November 19, couple of days after Bidhumukhi breathed her last.

Apart from family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers, several CSO leaders also attended the ceremony.

Mao Union, Imphal president Dr Punshi Losii, who attended the ceremony, recalled the contribution of the late leader in addressing hardships and issues faced by Mao community and the opening of Mao Market in Imphal.

Apart from these, there are many more contributions of the leader which will be remembered forever, he said.

Kabui Mothers' Association president Atongpi Kamei said that the sudden demise of Ibotombi is a great loss for the society.

She prayed that he comes again in Manipur if there is a next life and continue to work for the society.
