Imphal, July 25 2024: One Kongbrailatpam Suresh Singh (34), son of late Prameshor of Uripok Haobam Leikai, who had been reported missing, was found dead in Nambul River near Hiyangthang KP College under Wangoi police station on Thursday.

According to police, brother of the missing person filed a report at Imphal police station stating that Suresh did not return after leaving home around 4.30 pm on July 23 .

A team of Imphal police station and fire service searched Nambul River on Wednesday, out of fear that the person might have fallen into Nambul River at Meino Thong.

However, the lifeless body of Suresh was found near Hiyangthang KP College point of the same river around 6.30 am.

After conducting post-mortem at RIMS morgue, the body was handed over to his family members.
