Manipur Short Fiction Film Fest in Jan

Imphal, December 24 2021: Film Forum Manipur in association with IPAK Films Production, Manipur would be organising the 2nd International Manipur Short Fiction Film Festival-2022 on the theme "Let's make Manipur Drugs Free", under the sponsorship of Social Welfare Department.

Announcing this in a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Social Welfare director Ngangom Uttam said that the festival is being organised with the aim.

of helping the youth to stay away from drugs.

The lingua franca of the films should be in Manipuri language and should be 3-5 minutes long.

Anyone settling in any part of the world and whose mother tongue is Manipuri are eligible to participate in the festival, he said.

Film Forum chairman S Mangoljao, who also attended the press meet, informed that the registration for the film festival will begin from December 25 and end on January 15, 2022 .

The filmmaker or the company must submit their films by January 25 after submission of the registration forms.

The awards for the films will be distributed on February 21 .

The Best Film award will carry a cash prize of Rs 55,555; Second Best Film Rs 22,222 and Third Best Film Rs 11,111 .

The Best Film of a Debut Director will receive Rs 11,111; while Best Director, Best Story, Best Editor, Best Camera, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female) and Best Child Artiste will carry a cash prize of Rs 5,555 each.

IPAK Media Best Popular People's Choice Award will carry a cash prize of Rs 7,777.Anyone interested in joining or co-sponsoring the festival, including private firms, company and film enthusiasts can avail the requisite details from the office of IPAK Films Production, Manipur at Kei'shamthong Hodam Leirak Machin, Tiddim road.
