'Waste to Art' event held in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, September 24 2024: In a vibrant showcase of creativity and sustainability, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Tamenglong organised an event called 'Waste to Art' at Haipou Jadonang Park, here as a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

The event was aimed at promoting awareness about waste management and recycling through artistic expression.

Among the standout creations were that of Ringsobou Daimei, son of Meirijinang Daimei of Tharon village and Guingamlung Panmei, son of Latoulung Panmei of New Canaan Tamenglong-3 as both emerged the top two winners.

The event was witnessed by Tamenglong ADC CEO Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, who is also the Nodal Officer of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and PHED executive Engineer, Tamenglong Adam Chiru.

As reward for their exceptional talent, Ringsobou Daimai and Guingamlung Panmei will be honoured by the Tamenglong DC in a ceremony on October 2 .
