IKCRI director interacts with MTU students, faculty

Imphal, February 24 2025: India-Korea Centre for Research and Innovation (IKCRI) director Dr Young Ho Kim visited Manipur Technical University (MTU) on Monday as part of a collaborative initiative aimed at fostering India-South Korea academic and research cooperation.

According to a statement of the university, Dr Kim engaged with students, faculty members, and university officials, sharing insights on global research trends and highlighting the importance of international collaboration in advancing academic excellence.

In an interactive session with MTU's faculties and students, Dr Kim discussed advanced research opportunities and career prospects in the international market.

He stressed the role of youth in driving innovation and sustainable development and also underlined the need to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and biotechnology into academic curricula to better equip students for future challenges.

MTU registrar Ramananda Nongmeikapam expressed his pleasure at hosting Dr Kim, while stating that such interactions align with the university's vision of promoting academic excellence and global partnerships.

He appreciated Dr Kim's valuable insights and expressed hope for more collaborative engagements in the future.
