One dies, another injured in road mishap

Imphal, February 23 2025: A woman lost her life while another person was left injured in a road accident along the Imphal-Ukhrul Road in Khurai Sajor Leikai area under Porompat police station on Sunday around 6.30 pm.

Two women travelling on a Honda Activa had a head on collision with a Mahindra Bolero SUV (MN01W 2337).Rosh-ni alias Bibi Begum (33) of Mantripukhri near Mother Teresa Orphan Home died on the spot while her co-rider Khumukcham Anju, daughter of Kh Chingkhuba of Mantripukhri Mercy Lane sustained injuries and was rushed to Raj Medicity.

The body of the victim has been deposited at JNIMS mortuary.

A case has been registered by Porompat police station, and the two vehicles taken into custody by the police.
