Lecture on military career, Anti-Terrorism Day held

A motivational lecture focusing on students of classes 11th, 12th and graduation standards for providing insights on serving in the military and relevant benefits was held at ZSP Library, Churachandpur district on May 20 .
According to a release, the lecture highlighted the various entry routes into, including technical and non-technical and medical branches, and emphasised the importance of academic excellence, physical fitness and discipline.
Students were also informed about the perks and privileges of a career in military service, such as job security, adventure, respect in society and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
The release further added that around 60 students attended the motivational talk.
On the other-hand, a lecture on National Anti-Terrorism Day was organised at Chandrakhong, Thoubal district on May 21, aimed at raising awareness and promoting unity against terrorism.
As per a release, the event included a lecture on terrorism and insurgency, highlighting their ill effects on national and societal interests.
It also emphasised the contributions and duties of citizens to stop menace also discussion on the recent success of Operation Sindoor.
Total of 20 villagers from Chandrakhong, Phajakhong, Malom, Leirongthel, Kakmayai, Ningel and Yairipok (Khoirom) in Thoubal district participated in discussions and activities promoting peace and national integration.
The release informed that the purpose of Anti-Terrorism Day was to spread the message of global peace and non-violence and prevent youngsters from following cult practices and being misguided.
It's a day to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks, it added.
