Sit-in protest by COCOMI continues

Jiribam, December 21 2024: In continuation of COCOMI Jiribam Branch public movement demanding finding of missing of Laishram Kamalbabu and punishment of culprits involved in Borobekra killing, a sit-in protest was held at Dibong Khunou community hall on Saturday.

The protest participated by meira paibi activists of Dibong Khunou Leikai was held under the banner 'Government must find L Kamalbabu at the earliest', 'Government must arrest culprits involved in killing of women and children at Borobekra', 'Punish murderer of Khundrakpam Athouba', 'We oppose imposition of AFSPA in Jiribam', 'Commando personnel involved in killing of student and village volunteer should be given befitting punishment' and 'Incompetent CM should resign' .

During the protest, the agitators also chanted slogans and held placards demanding 'We want peace', 'We condemn L Kamalbabu missing incident', 'Save innocent people', 'Release Laishram Kamalbabu immediately', 'We oppose imposition of AFSPA in Jiribam' and 'No arrest of village volunteers' .
