Sit-in protests attack on Tiddim Motors

Imphal, November 21 2024: Staff of Tiddim Motors showroom, Imphal staged sit-in protest on Thursday against armed attack on the showroom by unidentified persons.

The assailants fired some rounds towards the showroom on Wednesday shattering glass panel of the main door, and damaging two brand new cars on display - an Altroz Racer i-Turbo Plus, and a Curw EV Empower Plus (top model).

According to sales manager Irengbam Chittaranjan, the showroom staff and the proprietor neither have no enmity nor discord with any organisations nor any idea on who and why the showroom was targeted.

The dealer is one of the entrepreneurs of the state who are providing jobs to over 200 individuals.

Attacking the showroom and causing damage is akin to an attack on the staff.

Even if any organisation has discord with any of the staff or the proprietor, they can resolve the matter peacefully, he said and appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in future.

Protestors held placards decrying the violence, intimidation and bullying.
