Hockey body raises demands, threatens stir

Imphal, August 18 2024: The general body meeting of All Manipur Hockey United Club (Hockey Legend) held on Sunday resolved to resort to agitation in case the government and Manipur Hockey (MH) does not honour their demands.

In a release, Club's secretary Ak Surjit Singh informed that the meeting presided over by TWC president Akoijam Kanta Singh and attended by members of various clubs of the state, resolved to press MH to sponsor players selected for national championships instead of the players meeting the expenses, organise tournaments as per a fixed calendar, focus on players and clubs and to promptly initiate process for registration of clubs and transfer of players.

Participants of the meeting also urged the government and MH to endorse their demands at the earliest.
