Jiribam stir suspended

Jiribam, January 18 2025:
The 24 hour general strike and other protests called by District Hospital Monitoring Committee Jiribam have been suspended for temporarily.
Addressing a press meet held at Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) office, Babupara in the presence of leaders of various organisations and communities of Jiribam on Saturday, Committee co-convener Ph Monteshori stated that the stir has been suspended as the state government on Friday night issued on order upgrading Community Health Centre (CHC), Jiribam to full-fledged district hospital.
Mentioning that the Committee appreciates the move of the government, she cautioned the government that if the hospital is not staffed with qualified CMO and MS as well as required staff within 10-days, they will launch an indefinite economic blockade on NH-37 from the next day onwards.
