Training on post-harvest management concludes

Kakching, August 14 2024: The five-day training cum demonstration programme on 'post-harvest management of seasonal fruits' which commenced from August 7 concluded on Monday at KVK, Chandel. The programme was organised by KVK, Chandel under 100 days Action Plan.

Dr A Ameeta Devi, senior scientist and head of ICAR-KVK, in her speech, stressed the need for doubling income of the farmers to sustain their livelihood by implementing the knowledge gained from the training progrmme.

Dr Y Prabhabati Devi, SMS (Home Science) and course director of the programme delivered the keynote address.

During the training programme, hands on training on processing of seasonal fruits like jackfruit, passionfruit, pineapple and lime were conducted.

During the valedictory session, certificates and inputs like small equipment and packaging materials were distributed to the trainees.

The programme was alsp attended by 25 trainees and staff of KVK Chandel.
