AR observes World First Aid Day

Assam Rifles observed World First Aid Day on Wednesday by conducting multiple awareness sessions across Tengnoupal district, focusing on critical first aid skills and the Ayushman Bharat (AB) scheme.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the events in Moreh and Khudengthabi, had active participation of local villagers.
In Moreh, a lecture-cum-demonstration was organised to raise awareness about the importance of first aid in emergencies.
The session, attended by approximately 25 civilians, provided essential knowledge on how to respond swiftly during accidents, injuries, or medical crisis.
Demonstrations on wound care, managing fractures, and other emergency procedures were carried out, empowering participants to provide immediate care when needed.
The release further mentioned that at Khudengthabi, a similar awareness lecture was conducted focusing on both the AB scheme and basic first aid techniques.
A live demonstration of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) was carried out, equipping villagers with practical lifesaving skills.
In addition to the medical training, participants were informed about the AB scheme and guided on how to enrol in the initiative to access the healthcare benefits it provides.
The event was attended by 75 villagers, it said.
