Bishnupur, February 10 2025:
Mounting pressure on the government to clear the confusion over introduction of four-year undergraduate (UG) courses under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students of the Cl College organised a protest demonstration on Monday.
Speaking on condition of anonymity during the protest, a student demanded that the government withdraw the 4-year undergraduate programme.
"Under the NEP 2020, the recommended duration for a UG degree is four years which means most graduation programmes will entail four years of study," the student rued.

The new reforms have created a lot of confusion and anxiety among the students as to whether they will be able to complete the 4th year of the UG courses, he added.
The student protestors also shouted slogans such as "Government should not spoil the careers of students", "Director and Commissioner should resign", "Government should withdraw the 4 years under graduation course", etc.
