Bishnupur resumes 'Meeyamgi Numit'

District administration, Bishnupur on Friday resumed organising of 'Meeyamgi Numit' at Panchayat Resource Centre, PRC Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.
The programme participated by around 500 people from three blocks of the district was attended by Bishnupur deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram, Bishnupur ADC Toijam Opendro Singh, AC to DC S Gunamani Singh, SDOs, BDOs, and all the district-level officers.
More than 30 stalls of different departments rendering services like issuance of birth certificates, PMJAY cards, CMHT cards, Aadhar enrolment, quota inclusion for ration cards, new enrolment in employment exchange, inmate certificate issuance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying outside relief camp, etc., were set up at the PRC Hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishnupur DC L Bikram expressed his gratitude to the public for turning up in large numbers and contributing to the success of 'Meeyamgi Numit' .
He also urged the public to continue coming forward with any concerns or suggestions.
Public feedback is crucial to enhancing the administration and improving the delivery of government schemes and projects, he added.
Announcing that 'Meeyamgi Numit' will now be held on the first Saturday of every month, Bikram also said that the district administration will also explore the possibility of organising 'Meeyamgi Numit' at the Gram Panchayat level in the future, extending the reach of government services beyond the Mini Secretariat.
