Special outreach health camp held

Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Sagolband in collaboration with Sagolband Constituency Progressive Commit -tee (SCPC) and under the guidance of Sagolband MLA RK Imo Singh organised a special outreach health camp at Keishampat Thokchom Leikai on Thursday.
A release issued by the office of the MLA, 11-Sa-golband Assembly Constituency said the second successful camp conducted at the same locality included notable additions of AYUSH OPD and antepatal check-up services for the first time.
Other continuing services included general OPD, eye OPD.
immunisation, free laboratory tests, free medicines, and screening for cervical, oral, and breast cancer, as well as hypertension and diabetes.
The camp witnessed many, including young mothers, availing focused services such as antenatal check ups, cancer screening, and free diagnostics, the release informed.
In his message, MLA RK Imo reiterated his commitment to the overall well-being of the people of Sagolband, emphasising that healthcare is one of the core pillars of development.
He stated that a permanent building for UPHC Sagolband is being constructed at Sagolband Moirang Leirak, at the site where the old YSSU club building once stood.
Once completed, the facility will be inaugurated without delay, he assured, adding that until then, UPHC Sagolband would continue operations from its temporary office at Kwakeithel Hourakchambi.
He also lauded the efforts of the UPHC and Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee for their dedicated service and seamless coordination in bringing healthcare to the doorstep of the people.
