IRB recruit found dead in Assam

Imphal, October 06 2024:
A recruit of the 11th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) was found dead early Sunday morning at Assam Police Training Centre, Dergaon.
The deceased IRB trainee has been identified as Subashchandra Mangang alias Naoton of Nambol Kha Jiri in Bishnupur district.
According to police report, Subashchandra, who had been undergoing training at the Dergaon facility since January this year, failed to assemble for the morning training-related assignments even as the camp commander gave the routine 5 am wake-up call.
On enquiry, he was found laying lifeless on his bed.
Subashchandra's corpse has been deposited at a nearby hospital for post mortem.
Meanwhile, all the trainee recruits of F and G companies of 11 IRB along with their instructors conducted a condolence meet at 6.30pm to mourn the un timely demise of Subashchandra.
