Meeyamgi Numit in first week of February

Kakching, February 01 2025:
Kakching district administration will organise the Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) on February 7 at offices of the SDO, Kakching and SDO, Waikhong from 11 am onwards.
Ahead of the event, Kakching deputy commissioner Rohit Anand on Friday chaired a meeting of district level officials and reviewed steps for successful conduct of the day.
The DC instructed all the DLOs to make sure that maximum help is extended to the beneficiaries on the day and grievances addressed at the earliest.
He also advised all heads of departments to make sure that the public are made aware on schemes/programmes being implemented for welfare of the public.
The Meeyamgi Numit will have DLOs of various departments settling or disposing grievances on the spot, if possible.
Certain public services that can be delivered on the day will be arranged by the departments concerned.
Meeyamgi Numit is a service platform to address the grievances of people initiated by chief minister N Biren on May 15, 2017.Earlier Meeyamgi Numit used to be held at the Chief Minister's secretariat.
However, from July, 2022, it is held at district headquarters.
